Rules
1. Entry Registration
- Entry Fee: $10.00 CAD per player entry.
- Platform Fee: $1.00 from every entry is allocated for platform hosting and logistics. Any surplus is injected back into the player prize pot.
- Submission Protocol: A player must predict the winner for every single game of the regular season prior to the deadline, alongside their Tie-Breaker score.
- Offline Override: In the event of a discrepancy between online picks and a submitted hard-copy sheet, the physical document is classified as the official record.
- Mail In Entries: contact cflpigskin@gmail.com for mail in entry instructions. Only entries postmarked before the deadline will be accepted.
- Deadline: No entries will be accepted after the deadline under any circumstances.
2. Scoring Parameters
Note: Points are awarded for outright game winners only. Point spreads are not monitored.
3. Tie-Breaker Protocol
If two or more players finish the season with identical points, the following succession of rules will determine the final standing:
Final Game Total Score
The player whose predicted Tie-Breaker score is closest to the combined total score of the final game of the season, wins.
Most Visitor Wins
The player with the highest total of correct picks for visiting (away) teams throughout the season wins.
Penultimate Game Score
The player whose Tie-Breaker is closest to the combined score of the second-to-last game of the season wins.
If players remain perfectly deadlocked after all protocols, the prize allocation for their tier will be split equally.
4. System Defaults
- Missed Picks (Sheet): If a game is left blank on a physical entry, the system automatically defaults the pick to the Home Team.
- Missed Tie-Breaker (Sheet): If no TB score is provided, the system locks in a default score of 50.
- Prize Expiration: Winnings that remain unclaimed 90 days post-season will be included in the following season's pot.
